Important News:

We are happy to announce that at our Blood Drive last Sunday we collected 35 units of blood which far surpasses our goal of 28! Thanks to everyone who was able to donate blood or help with the drive in any way. With that amount the Red Cross has the potential to save 105 lives. Way to go CHUMC!!

Talent Show moved to January 31, 2020 due to availability of participants. Please continue to practice your talents and we are looking forward to a wonderful show in January!

Its not too late to sign up to volunteer on a monthly rotation schedule for the new puppet ministry. Please fill out the sign-up sheet located at the welcome center in the front lobby or contact Joni right away if you are willing to learn a new skill and be prepared to have a great time developing this very special ministry.  Thank you ALL for your help and support getting this off the ground!  We are so excited for the kids!

Columbia Heights Church family, we have an opportunity to get some folks trained to learn how to run the tech booth during services or other times when tech is needed for our church.  This includes running the sound board, screens, microphones, computers and other equipment necessary to support the Pastor, Praise Band, Choir and other ministries of our church that set the environment for worshiping God and other presentations we provide. Once trained, you can decide how often you are available and willing to help out.  But we are in need of someone or multiple people to be more regularly involved at both 9 AM and 10:30 AM worship services.  Working in teams and having a rotation would be amazing!  Please pray and discern if this might be YOU!  We hope God is calling out to you, and you are the answer to our prayers!! If interested, please contact the Director of Operations at or by cell at  614-329-2894.

For those of you that are members of Columbia Heights Church, we are looking to fill two open leadership board positions. Applications are available in the church office or on the website at If you are passionate about making new disciples and have time to devote to helping us further this overall mission of the church, we hope you prayerfully consider serving as a board member. All nominations received are considered by the nominating committee. For further questions or more information, please contact Jane Roberts or Pastor Ruben.

Ruth Waite is starting up the Prayer Partners Ministry again for the new school year. Please see the insert in your bulletin for more information and to sign up your child or to sign up to be a prayer partner!

Friendly Reminders

For those of you who are not regularly involved with the Saturday evening service, we wanted to make sure you knew that our current preaching partner, Steven Payne and his lovely family, are branching out on God's wings and starting their own church.  We are truly happy for Steve and all of his following!  Due to the fact that Steve's family was instrumental in running the Saturday evening service, we do not have sufficient volunteers at this time to support a third service option at our church.  So, we are listening for God and what he may have in store for us which may require more prayer as we listen for God's direction.  In the meantime, we will concentrate hard on Sunday morning worship and really lean into all God is doing around us.  Please pray for all those who attended and served on Saturday evenings that they will be spiritually uplifted as they join worship on Sunday mornings.  And just as important...thank you to all of you who serve in multiple ways during ALL of our worship services including, hospitality, tech, music, hosts, greeters, offerings, preaching, bible zone and nursery...just to name a few.  We are so blessed to have your help, love, and support in all that we do!  God bless the people of Columbia Heights!!

ALTAR FLOWERS: You can order Altar flowers any time of the year, just fill out an Altar Flower form and return it to the office with your payment attached. Please have orders in by the Wednesday of the week you wish to have them displayed; this is to ensure your order is received in time to be written in the bulletin.

PRAYER REQUESTS: Prayer request sheets are available at the welcome desk, if you would like to take a copy home and include them in your prayers.

PRAYER AND COMMUNION: Weekly services of Prayer, Healing, and Communion are offered on Fridays at 7:00 pm in the chapel.
